Infento is a start-up in Amsterdam that develops building kits for families at home and for schools. Children can build real constructible vehicles (and much more!) alone, or with parents or classmates. It's a durable concept that offers a technical skill set for the future and empowers children to become makers.

For this project I redesigned the homepage. This page is focused on the family Kits as this is the main target audience Infento at this moment.
The problem
The current homepage looks a bit amateurish and misses key information about the Kits. This causes distrust and confusion about the products with the user. The goal with redesigning the homepage is to make it look more like Infento is a professional company and that it is clear how the Kits (the product) work and what you would get, should you order the product.

Process
Starting with user tests, organising and analysing the test results, I sat down and dove into the problem of the homepage and missing information about the products.
There was no overview or system of the Kits available, so I had to search for all similarities and differences myself. After finding them, I was able to categorise key information about the Kits and implemented them on the website.

On the homepage I created a 'Discover our 5 Kits'-section, to give the user a clear overview of only the most important similarities and differences between our Kits. This is why I decided to use fixed positions of elements.

The 'Discover our 5 Kits'-section is a small part of another project called 'Compare Kits'-page. This page is created for users to see all similarities and differences between the Kits.
Design
To create a more professional and calmer look-and-feel of the homepage, I used darker colours, a new way to use Infento's typography, created consistency in the design and focused on a mix of lifestyle and render imagery instead of shots taken in a studio environment.
